Somewhat cute.

 

What a fun surprise it was that our friend, Ginette, and her husband were on our boat tour to Witless Bay.

Most of the two hour drive to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve was in brilliant sunshine. But for the last few kilometers we were enshrouded in thick fog with minimal visibility. I snapped a few photos of the Northern Gannets anyway and, miraculously, I was able to clean them up on my computer. I included one unedited image to give a sense of the before and after.

 

Bread and Cheese Country Inn in Bay Bulls is where we'll spend our final two nights in Newfoundland. Our room (top floor, left) faces the ocean and there's a little trail from the inn to the 'beach'.

We went cod fishin'! Between the two of us, we caught our limit of five fish (the other two guests each caught five as well). Once we found them, the action was hot and heavy - we could barely get our jig to the bottom without getting a bite. Our captain was Danny, the owner of the place we're staying.

Went on a couple of tremendous hikes today. Twillingate has a plethora of great trails all within a few kilometers of our B&B. We earned whatever hijinx we get up to tonight, b'y.
